The inaugural edition of IWMUN took place 10-12th April 2015 under the theme Threats to International Security. It was the first international university level conference in Wroclaw and second in the country.
The conference gathered around 100 participants from Poland, UK and Germany who worked in six committees, suitable for every level of experience: Security Council, International Court of Justice, Economic and Financial Committee, World Health Organization, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and International Atomic Energy Agency.
Our chairs in 2015 were:
Maciej Białas and Piotr Kaczynski in the Security Council, Grazyna Meller and Filip Sobiecki in ECOFIN, Karolina Kwiatkowska and Robert Lipinski in IAEA, Adam Borowski and Ida Sadłowska in UNODC,
Izabela Bany and Karolina Starzynska in WHO, and Petra Skrbrkova and Piotr Teklak in ICJ.
Together they have represented 10 different universities in Poland, Germany, Ireland, UK and Czech Republic. Thank you for your work! (You can still find the topics and study guides here.)
Besides granting his honorary patronage to the conference, Mr. Zdrojewski has also donated 2 vouchers for a study visit to Brussels, which were awarded to the most outstanding IWMUN delegates. IWMUN 2015's Best Delegates were Komola Rashidova (UNODC) and David Koeller (ICJ). Congratulations!
